British-Iranian model Yasmin Le Bon was born on October 29, 1964 in Oxford, England. She became widely recognized in the modeling world for being included in the list of highest paid models in the 1980s. While she was studying during her younger years, she was already inclined to modeling as she used to work as one. After graduating, she officially signed with Models 1, a modeling agency that is based in London. Eventually, she became the model of GUESS?’ advertising campaign and was soon featured on the covers of Elle. Meanwhile, she was also highlighted on several issues of magazines including Cosmopolitan, Marie Claire, Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar, V, and I.D. Other than being a cover girl, she also graced the runways for fashion shows that advertise creations of various fashion labels including Calvin Klein, Bloomingdale’s, Avon, Frasercard, Chanel, Versace. Christian Dior, Escada, and many others. Not solely focusing on modeling, she started to venture on business and teamed up with Wallis for women’s clothing and jewellery sales in 2009.
When it comes to keeping her body healthy and in prime shape, Yasmin said that she’s doing exercises regularly but does not overdo it. “I’ve definitely had an issue with over-exercising at times, and I had to give it all up for a year or two to let my body mend,” she said. “It sounds ridiculous, but exercise is addictive — it draws you in and you ignore the pain, so I’m careful now.”
And what about her diet? According to the model, “What suits me better is eating lightly through the day, then having a proper, but not huge, meal at night. It’s a less extreme version of how I ate when I was modelling full time — although, back then, I lived off the odd bread roll if I was lucky. But I just love food. I’m not a fussy eater, and I love wine — it’s a great, quick fix.”
