Woodrow Tracy Harrelson, famously known as Woody Harrelson, is an award-winning American actor born in Midland, Texas on July 23, 1961 to parents Diane Lou and Charles Harrelson. He attended school at Hanover College in Hanover, Indiana and achieved a Bachelor of Arts in theater and English in the year 1983. He started to do screen acting in the year 1985, appearing particularly on Cheers by which he played as Woody Boyd.
The said TV series earned him the American Comedy Award for Funniest Newcomer and Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series. Since then, he was able to land numerous acting projects which include roles on high-grossing films such as White Men Can’t Jump, Indecent Proposal, The People vs. Larry Flynt, No Country for Old Men, The Messenger, Zombieland, Rampart, The Hunger Games, and a lot more.
