Una Healy, now Una Theresa Imogene Foden, was born on October 10, 1981 in Thrules, Ireland. She is an Irish singer, songwriter, musician, and TV presenter and the daughter of Anne and John Healy. She finished school when she was 18, after-which she worked as a medical secretary and eventually aspired to become a nurse. Rather than pursuing her desire to work in the medical setting, she instead headed towards performing and focusing on music. She started off as a singer at clubs and pubs around Ireland, performing in bands and playing guitar as well. In 2004, she became noticeable when she joined the Glinsk Song Contest and won. Eventually, she became a member of the band called “The Saturdays” in 2007 and made a name for herself.
In one of her interviews, Una stated that brisk walking is her usual fitness routine. And to make it enjoyable, she does it with a buddy. She said, “I go for long power walks with a friend so we burn calories as we chat!” She added that she’s very much into sit-ups. “I do 100 sit-ups a day and have a spray tan – that always makes you look slimmer!” she shared.
And what about her diet? “For breakfast I’ll have Special K, a probiotic drink and a cappuccino,” she said. “I’ll have a sandwich for lunch, and for dinner I’ll have a chicken stir-fry or spaghetti Bolognese.”
