Tim Cahill - CelebHealthy_comTimothy Filiga Cahill, better known as Tim Cahill, is an Australian professional football player who currently plays for Shanghai Shenhua in the Chinese Super League. He was born on December 6, 1979 in Sydney, Australia. He is known as the all-time top scorer for the Australia national soccer team. Before he joined Shanghai, he played his club football for Millwall, Everton and eventually New York Red Bulls. He particularly plays as an attacking midfielder but he has also played as a forward on several games.

So what’s his physical training like? “I train with my club side nearly every day for about 10 months of the year so my fitness routine is mostly based around that,” he stated in an interview. “I usually try and get to training about an hour before anyone else so that I can get any injuries checked out and then use the gym for around 30min. After that we will train for at least 2 hours which combines conditioning and football-specific training.”

He added, “With the amount of time that I spend at training, being able to switch off and relax is probably one of the most important things for my health so spending time with my wife and kids is great. The other most important thing for me is my stretching and warming up or cooling down. Being 35 now I have to be really conscious of my body and not approaching training without the proper preparation.”

He also shared his particular diet. “For me the night before a game I make sure I get my carbs and protein so pasta with chicken is a good way to make sure that my body has all the energy it needs for a match,” he explained.
