He was born on February 11, 1992 in Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA to Daniel and Deborah Lautner. At 6 years old, Taylor was already inclined to martial arts as he used to practice his skills at Fabiano’s Karate School. Along with his huge interest in martial arts, he also found out that he’s also into acting. At 7, his martial arts instructor (who was connected in show business) encouraged him to audition for a small role in a Burger King commercial. That led him to occasionally audition for different roles. His breakthrough began in the year 2005 when he finally landed his role in the blockbuster film The Adventures of Sharkboy and Lavagirl 3-D.

Now that he’s more than successful thanks to his iconic appearances as Jacob Black in Twilight movie series, he’s more than determined to maintain his athletic built that he really worked hard to attain. His secret to becoming leaner is simple: Eating right and following a smart and effective workout regimen.

He says he usually push his limits when it comes to working out. He does this by carrying weights that are about 40% of what he could typically lift up. But, it doesn’t mean that anyone should do it.
