Shantel Yvonne VanSanten was born on July 25, 1985 in Luverne, Minnesota, USA. She is a well-known American model and actress known to possess Dutch and Norwegian blood. Raised in Dallas, Texas, she attended school at an all-girls institution called Incarnate Word Academy. It was when she turned 15 when she started to do modelling. In 2009, she chose to pursue acting and soon got her first acting work which happened in the American police procedural TV series CSI: NY. The said TV program gave her the opportunity to act as Tara Habis in an episode. It followed by her next acting appearance in the horror film The Final Destination where she played as Lori Milligan. Her big break came in 2009 when she was hired to play the role Quinn James in One Tree Hill and was able to work with fellow actors Chad Michael Murray, James Lafferty, Hilary Burton, and the rest of the casts. Recently she was seen in the popular TV programs Gang Related and The Messengers.
Shantel always takes care of her body by regularly doing her workout. So, what’s her workout routine? According to the beautiful actress, “I work out probably six to seven days a week, and I do Pilates and cardio on the Stairmaster. I’m obsessed with the Stairmaster. I lift weights. For me, working out. I don’t know how to explain it. I don’t work out because I want to be skinny. I work out because I feel better when I leave. I struggled with finding a balance in my life and for me, having an hour to myself in the gym every day makes me feel happier and healthier.”
On the other hand, Shantel shared that she practices a particular diet that she discovered in a book called “Eat Right 4 Your Type”. According to her, this kind of diet fairly works for her. “I’ve been following this diet for three months,” she said. “I’ve noticed the largest changes in the whole world and I swear by it. It’s not really a diet for me because I don’t diet and I like to eat. It’s more of just something that has changed my life. I have more energy. I swear by it. Maybe it will work for some people, maybe it won’t, but I definitely love it.”
