Shanina Shaik was born on February 11, 1991. She is a renowned Australian model known for her brand endorsements for Avon, Bloomingdales, Burda Style, Cotton On, and several other fashion houses. She started her modeling career at the age of eight. With her Lithuanian, Pakistani, and Saudi Arabian ancestry, Shanina wasn’t so hard to notice, which was quite the reason why she successfully took the attention of the fashion crowd. Her first modeling appearance happened during the Autumn/Winter 2009 season runway show held in New York City. While on her modeling way, she had worked with prominent designers such as Mara Hoffman, Lorick, Project Runway, Richie Rich, Shipley & Halmos, and many others. It was in the year 2012 when she started to appear in Victoria’s Secret fashion shows and eventually gained popularity.
Do you ever wonder how Shanina achieved her fit and toned figure? Well, according to her, she resorts to Zumba. “I’m naturally thin, so I really worked hard to do something different with my body,” Shanina shared. “I did Zumba once a week and weights twice a week.” Not only that. She also does squats and exercises using weights. “I did those using weights. Every 20 squats, I’d alternate with 10 bicep curls. You could really see the muscle in my legs at the show,” she added.
With regards to her diet, Shanina basically practices a high-protein, low carb-diet. “I eat a lot of fish, eggs, chicken, vegetables, salad and brown rice,” she explained.
