Israeli-Canadian actor Sasha Roiz was born on October 21, 1973 in Tel Aviv, Israel. He is known to have both Russian and Jewish ancestry. Growing up in Israel, he relocated in Montreal, Canada in the year 1980 together with his family. In Montreal, he attended at a theater school and eventually became more enthusiastic in the field of acting. It was in 2001 when he was first seen on screen and particularly portrayed the role Sergei in an episode of Largo Winch. Soon after, he got lots of acting involvements which include playing roles on TV series Playmakers, Mutant X, Kevin Hill, Show Me Yours, G-spot, Jeff Ltd., CSI: Miami, CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, and Husbands. He also had appearances on films The Day After Tomorrow, Assault on Precinct 13, Man of the Year, and several others. These days, he is seen on the action-packed TV series Grimm, playing the role Captain Sean Renard.

While filming Grimm, Sasha had undergone a serious workout. And up to these days, he still performs his exercise regime. “I still go to the gym and I still lift heavy things,” according to him in one of his interviews. “I really believe in just getting your heart rate up and muscle confusion, just mix it up every day. I don’t know what I’m going to do day to day.”

His diet was also kind of strict. “It’s kind of miserable really. You just kind of workout like crazy and don’t eat anything good or delicious for a while,” he expressed.

Well, it seems like his sacrifices paid him dearly. Look at his ripped physique. Definitely worth his efforts!
