Sasha Cohen, originally Alexandra Pauline Cohen, is a U.S. figure skater. She was born on October 26, 1984 in Westwood, Los Angeles, California, United States. She is widely recognized because of winning the silver medal on the 2006 Olympic competition. She is in fact a three-time World Championship medalist, a 2003 Grand Prix Final Champion, and a 2006 U.S. Champion.
So what is her training session look like during on and off season? Well, during her interview with Fitness Magazine, she shared, “During the skating season, I’m on the ice a lot of the time creating numbers. But I’m also travelling a lot, so I work out in the gym, run, do core work, and use a Theraband for strength. Off-season, I like variety to keep it fresh and avoid injuries. I do yoga, Pilates, biking, and my favorite: running on the beach.”
Any exercise tips from this popular sports celebrity? “Find what you enjoy!” she advised.”Try out different things. If you don’t like strength training, try forms of exercise that use your body weight for resistance, such as yoga or Pilates. No matter the format, it’s important to be active. Exercise gets your blood flowing, gives you perspective, clears your head, and generally helps to balance life.”
