Sabine Lisicki - celebhealthy_comSabine Katharina Lisicki is a German professional tennis player. She was born on September 22, 1989 in Troisdorf, Germany to parents Elisabeth Lisicki and Richard Lisicki. It was in the year 2006 when she became a professional tennis player. Her career breakthrough came in the year 2009 when she was able to make it to the Wimbledon Championships, winning her first WTA title called the Family Circle Cup and defeating Caroline Wozniacki.

Apart from being physically active through sports, Sabine is also way conscious when it comes to her diet. So what’s her diet like? Well, according to the tennis star in one of her interviews, she is a follower of gluten-free diet. Gluten, by the way, is a protein found in grains such as rye, wheat, triticale, and barley.

Sabine started to practice a gluten-free diet right after recovering from a collapse years ago. She said, “Collapsing on court was a real low point. I had no idea what could have made me feel so weak but since I started following a gluten-free diet. I have really noticed a difference in the quality of my tennis. Not only do I feel stronger and healthier, I have a lot more stamina and I am more determined than ever to play well.” Sabine is one of the people who proved that gluten-free diet indeed has benefits, too.
