New Zealand actress, TV show host, and model Rachel Hunter was born on September 9, 1969 in Aucklad, New Zealand. When she was still a teenager, she already had the desire to become a model. Unfortunately, she was diagnosed of having a certain blood disease which prevented her to pursue modeling. In 1986, she didn’t stop herself from pursuing her dream career, that’s why she started modeling and eventually flew to United States. While in the US, she signed with the modeling agency in New York called Ford Models and became the spokesperson of Cover Girl cosmetics. Not later than modeling, she decided to pursue a career in acting. Her first exposure on screen happened in the year 1997 when she guested in The Drew Carey Show. She then became one of the casts in the indie film La Cucina. Nowadays, Rachel is regarded as one of the most successful models and actresses in the industry.
So, what’s the secret behind her great body? Here’s what she shared during one of her interviews. “I’m much more careful about food than exercise– portion control for me is vital. I don’t eat as much meat as I used to. I always have breakfast, although I’m terrible at remembering lunch, and I make sure I have a lot of greens. I also don’t have a fridge in my hotel room, so I can’t access ice cream or a hunk of cheese, which I love. If I want food, I have to go out and get it.”
In addition, she gave few advises as when it comes to diet. “The science is pretty basic – what you eat is what you’ll look like. If you eat pancakes and waffles, you’ll have a pancake and waffle body. If you have eggs, toast, greens – a healthy diet – then you’ll get the body that comes from that.”
