Penn Badgley, originally named Penn Dayton Badgley, is an American actor. He was born on November 1, 1986 in Baltimore, Maryland to parents Lynne Murphy and Duff Badgle. He spent most of his childhood years in Woodlake, Virginia and Seattle, Washington and later on when he turned eleven, he moved to Hollywood and started to pursue acting. Delving into the world of the showbiz industry, he had his first taste of acting in 1999, portraying the role Todd in an episode of Will & Grace. A year after, he had his first big screen appearance as he played the younger version of the actor Michael Cunio, Sean in The Fluffer. After that, he began to appear in a number of films and TV series including The Young and the Restless, The Brothers García, Do Over, and The Mountain. It was in the year 2007 when he experienced his big break and was hired to portray the major role Daniel “Dan” Humphrey in the famous TV series Gossip Girl. Presently, he is filming three upcoming movies which will be aired this year. Such movies include Parts per Billion, Cymbeline, and The Paper Store.
