Peggy Gale Fleming - CelebHealthy_comPeggy Gail Fleming is an American figure skater. She was born on July 27, 1948 in San Jose, California, United States to parents Albert Eugene Fleming and Doris Elizabeth Fleming. In 1968, she became the Olympic Champion in Ladies’ singles. She also became the three-time World Champion from 1966 to 1968. And for over 20 years, she served as the television commentator on figure skating.

In one of her interviews, Peggy shared her typical workout routine. She said, “I do combine both aerobic and weight training. I try to exercise at least four days a week–I’ll spend an hour and a half to two hours at the gym usually. I usually start with weight training as that gets my body ready to go, and then I do cardio after that. I then like to use the elliptical or run for the next hour or so. I always do so in the morning–you don’t have to necessarily be awake to exercise! Plus if you put it off until later in the day, you risk getting lazy and skipping your workout altogether. As we get older, exercising becomes even more important to keep your body strong everywhere”

Now what about her diet? “I just eat normal foods basically,” she said. “It’s more the portions… I don’t deprive myself of any food, it’s more keeping a limit on the portions and maintaining a good exercise regimen.”
