Patrick Dempsey, originally Patrick Galen Dempsey, is an American actor and race car driver. He was born on January 13, 1966 in Lewiston, Maine to parents Amanda and William. He started acting when he auditioned for a role in the production Torch Song Trilogy. After his successful acting appearance, he progressed into appearing on screen. His first screen appearance happened in the year 1985 when he was cast in the horror film The Stuff followed by the comedy-drama film Heaven Help Us. The following year, he became part of the TV series Fast Times as well as in Disneyland. Becoming more prominent in Hollywood, he was highlighted in the TV sitcom Will and Grace from 2000 to 2001. He was also cast in Once and Again and was even nominated for the Emmy Award for Outstanding Guest Actor in a Drama Series. Presently, he plays the role Dr. Derek Shepherd in the popular medical drama TV series Grey’s Anatomy.
Now how does Patrick stay fit? When the actor was interviewed by Men’s Health and was asked about his favorite workout, he said, “I ride a Specialized Tarmac SL2 bike that weighs less than 13 pounds. I try to do a hundred miles a week, plus weight training at this great old-school gym in Hollywood called Easton Gym.”
For his diet, he tries to eat healthy foods. He shared that he has this favorite junkfood station that serves healthy snacks. Where is it exactly? “In L.A., AstroBurger,” Patrick said. “And Chick-fil-A. There’s one in Tyler, Texas, that we like to hit. It’s all healthy fries and chicken, and there’s a whole Christian thing to it–they don’t work on Sunday.”
