Natalie Coughlin Hall, née Natalie Anne Coughlin, is an American competition swimmer and twelve-time Olympic medalist. She was born on August 23, 1982 inVallejo, California, United States. She first started swimming at the local YMCA when she was only 10 months old. A product of St. Catherine of Siena School in Vallejo, she also attended school at Carondelet High School in Concord, California and University of California.
She has gone through various swimming competitions, including the World Aquatics Championships in 2007, Summer Olympics in 2008, World Aquatics Championships in 2011, United States Olympic Trials in 2012, Phillips 66 National Championships in 2013, and several others.
Natalie is not only physically active. She’s also well-disciplined when it comes to her diet. Here’s her diet advice in one of her interviews: “When I’m asked about diet tips I always say it should be a lifestyle— not a short term fix. Eat seasonally and buy locally. I have an organic garden and cook so many of my meals from that. I save my seeds and use them from year to year. And whatever food we don’t consume, we compost.”
