Mick Fanning, originally Michael Eugene Fanning and nicknamed “White Lightning”, is an Australian professional surfer and triple world champion. He was born on June 13, 1981 in Penrith, Australia to Irish parents. He particularly won the 2007, 2009, and 2013 ASP World Tour.
He first started to surf when he was five years old. He did it specifically in coastal South Australia at a town called Mt Gambier. When he was twelve, his family moved to Tweed Heads and his surfing activity lessened. In the year 2001, he took a wild card entry at the Rip Curl Pro at Bells Beach wherein he finished 2002 as rookie of the year winning the Billabong Pro. These days, he continues to be regarded as one among the best surfers in Australia.
Aside from the fact that he’s a very active surfer, Mick doesn’t disregard his fitness. He stays healthy by eating healthy foods. He said in an interview, “I try to change it up a fair bit. I don’t freak out and eat the exact same thing every day. As long as I’ve got some meat and salad or something in every meal, I think that’s a pretty good balance.”
