English actress and singer Michelle Suzanne Dockery was born on December 15, 1981 at Rush Green Hospital, Dagenham, London. She is the daughter of Michael Francis Dockery and Lorraine. A product of Guildhall School of Music & Drama, she graduated from the said school in the year 2004. She started to appear on screen in the year 2005, participating in the TV series Fingersmith where she played the role Betty and worked with actors Sally Hawkins, Elaine Cassidy, and the rest of the cast. She then had series of appearances which was in TV films Consent, Poppy Shakespeare, Red Riding: In the Year of Our Lord 1974, Red Riding: In the Year of Our Lord 1983, The Courageous Heart of Irena Sendler, andPresently, she is famous for her role as Lady Mary Crawley in the British period drama TV series Downton Abbey.
