American actress and singer Megan Mullally was born on November 12, 1958 in Los Angeles, California to parents Martha and Carter Mullally, Jr. She grew up in Oklahoma City, the place where his father lived. She is a product of Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois, possessing a background in English Literature and Art History. While studying, she became inclined to acting and performing and eventually became active in Chicago theatre. When she moved to Los Angeles in 1985, she was able to sign a contract with the talent agency William Morris Agency and eventually earned her first exposure on screen in McDonald’s commercials. Later on, she became popular for appearing in The Ellen Burstyn Show for 13 episodes. She was also highlighted in various films including Stealing Harvard, Teacher’s Pet, Rebound, Date and Switch, Ernest & Celestine, and many others. Presently, she is cast in the computer-animated TV series Sofia the First and voices the character Miss Nettle.
When asked about her health habits, she said, “I’m just trying to get a lot of sleep and eat healthy. I am psychologically gearing myself up for the change in workload.”
She added that she’s also quite conscious on her diet. “I don’t eat a lot of sugar, and eating unprocessed foods makes a big difference in my weight and energy. As you get older, your body just doesn’t really tolerate outside interference, including alcohol and junk food,” she explained.
