Malin Maria Åkerman, simply known as Malin Åkerman, is a Swedish-Canadian actress, singer, and model born on May 12, 1978 in Stockholm, Sweden to parents Pia and Magnus Åkerman. When she was still a child, Malin had no desire to become an actress one day. Growing up, she was encouraged by her mom to do modeling. Eventually, she was seen modeling several product campaign deals which made her become interested in the limelight and decide to stop studying. After being noticed by the Ford Models, she was signed in the agency and later on had a contract with skincare company Noxzema. In 2001, she moved to Los Angeles to delve into the world of acting. She was able to portray different roles both in television and films, including The Proposal, Couples Retreat, and presently Childrens Hospital.

A successful model and actress, Malin’s life doesn’t stop there. She too, like any other celebrities, has certain secrets on how to become even sexier and look even better as she ages. So, what are her secrets? Well, during her interview with Shape, she says she keeps her body active as much as possible. “I try to stay active as much as possible while still having fun,” she shares. “Thank goodness in L.A. the sun is always shining, so I love grabbing a girlfriend for a hike. Having a workout buddy helps keep me on track. My husband and I also love to take long evening walks, and with Sebastian in the stroller it adds some weight. Other than that, I take SoulCycle and Pilates classes when time permits.”

And what about her diet? The actress says she doesn’t skip meals, especially breakfast. “I always eat breakfast because it gives me the energy I need for the day and keeps me from caving into all the bad options on set when hunger hits mid-morning. Breakfast usually starts with Kim Snyder’s Glowing Green Smoothie, which consists of romaine lettuce, celery, apple, pear, banana, lemon, and water blitzed in a blender,” says Malin.
