Australian actress Maeve Dermody was born on January 1, 1985 to a psychologist father and a film theorist mother. At the age of five, she earned her first screen appearance when her mother gave her the opportunity to portray in the 1993 movie Breathing Under Water which her mother personally directed. While attending high school in Mosman High School in Sydney, Maeve was already active in school’s plays and drama classes and particularly joined the Australian Theatre for Young People. And while studying, she played part in the TV series All Saints as well as in several short films. She earned her first major acting role in the year 2007 when she portrayed the role Lee in the horror-thriller film Black Water. Soon after, she was seen portraying different roles both in movies and television. Some of these exposures happened in the TV series My Place, Miss Fisher’s Murder Mysteries, and Bikie Wars: Brothers in Arms. Lately she was seen in Greg’s First Day playing Mandy.
So how does Maeve stay fit? According to the actress in one of her interviews, she said she always finds interesting exercises so as to release the tensions in her body and to get rid of stress. “It’s more about my state of mind than anything else,” she shared. “Whenever I’m stressed or feel a lot of tension, I find the only way to get rid of it is to exercise. I do anything and everything: swim, walk, do yoga, walk my pup. And I ride my bike everywhere. I don’t have a regimen I stick to – I don’t tell myself I “must” do this or that. I’ve just always enjoyed being active.”
As for her diet, she always indulges with veggies and no other than veggies. “I was raised primarily as a vegetarian, with a lot of respect given to preparing and eating food,” she confided.
