Madonna Louise Ciccone, Madonna for short, was born in Bay City, Michigan on August 16, 1958 to parents Silvio Anthony Ciccone and Madonna Louise. The American singer-songwriter, actress, author, director, entrepreneur and philanthropist dominated the 80’s music scene making her contribution in the entertainment industry a sensation. In 1991, Madonna achieved 21 Top 10 hits in US and grossed more than 70 million albums globally. According to Forbes magazine in January 2008, Madonna was named the world’s wealthiest female musician.
At 56, Madonna manages to be fitter and healthier than ever. In an interview made by www.webmd.com to celebrity fitness trainer Gunnar Peterson who hasn’t really trained Madonna yet but has worked with stars over and under 50, he said that Madonna could be doing anywhere from 30 to 60 minutes of strength training, 30 to 60 minutes of movement — Pilates or yoga — and then add on to that four to eight hours a day of rehearsal.
Some people who bought Madonna’s DVD exercise routine shared that the performer’s exercise regimen is definitely one of the hardest they have ever had. Following a very strict macrobiotic diet which helps to diminish the intake of eggs, dairy, meat and wheat, Madonna has definitely earned the figure that she even after 50.
