Mackenzie Phillips, originally Laura Mackenzie Phillips, is an American actress and singer. She was born on November 10, 1959 in Alexandria, Virginia to singer John Phillips and wife Susan Adams. A student of Highland Hall Waldorf School, Mackenzie started to sing and perform when she was 12 years old. She formed a band together with her three classmates and was eventually noticed by a talent agent during one of their performances.
Seen as a promising actress, she was given an opportunity to audition for a role in the coming-of-age film American Graffiti in 1973. The same year, she was cast in the television film Go Ask Alice and played the role Doris. She had other successful appearances on screen which include in TV series One Day at a Time, So Weird, The Outer Limits, Without a Trace, and several others. Last year, she appeared as Jamie in the Canadian telefilm She Made them Do It.
At 54, Mackenzie stays fit by practicing a healthy and clean lifestyle. According to her trainer named Ashley, “She came in willing to work hard and never complained, and she followed the program I created for her to a T.”
Mackenzie must be enjoying her fitness regimen with her trainer since she is obviously carrying a vigorous, healthy ensemble. “Being a part of this experience with Mackenzie was like watching a caterpillar transform into a beautiful butterfly,” Ashley added.
