Leeza Kim Gibbons is an American talk show host. She was born on March 26, 1957 in Hartsville, South Carolina to parents Jean and Carlos Gibbons. She became widely recognized for her work as a co-host on the news and entertainment TV series PM Magazine. Other than that, she also worked as a host for Entertainment Tonight as well as on Extra and the NBC syndicated daytime TV talk show Leeza by which she was able to work with host and TV presenter John Tesh. In September 2000, the said talk show ended and she soon gained more prominence. She later on appeared as a guest on several TV programs such as The Simple Life, The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, The Geena Davis Show, Just Shoot Me, and Home Improvement. In 2013, she was rewarded with a Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Lifestyle/Travel Host.
During her interview with Self, she shared that she regularly does her exercises. “I start stretching before I even get out of bed — I call it my ‘first five.’,” she said. “Taking the first five minutes of the day to stretch and make sure I’m in the right frame of mind to take on the day is really important to me. My husband and I also love to take long walks and hikes together, at least twice a week. It’s a great time for us to exhale and be together without distractions, so that’s an important thing.”
When it comes to her diet, she said, “I eat lots of healthy foods like salmon and green leafy veggies like broccoli and kale. I’ve had to back away from the drug known as sugar in my life, which has continued to be a real challenge for me. I’ve had to look at things like frozen blueberries and strawberries to become my ‘candy’.”
