American actress Leah Marie Remini, was born on June 15, 1970 in Bensonhurst, Brooklyn, New York City, to Vicki Marshall and George Remini. When she was 13, she moved to Los Angeles, California with her mother to pursue an acting career. She was a member of the Church of Scientology for over 30 years. December of 2005, she helped promote the gala opening of Citizens Commissions on Human Rights Psychiatry: An Industry of Death museum on Sunset Boulevard in Hollywood. She started to appear in television in the year 1988 for “Head of the Class” and from then on, she continued to appear on some episodes of other television series. She was best known for her role as Carrie Heffernan in the 1998-2007 television series “The King of Queens”, which aired 207 episodes. She also played the lead character of Terry Baumgardner in “The Family Tools” (2013) and an upcoming 2014 TLC reality show starring herself and her family.
In order to stay in shape, Leah follows a regular exercise routine, where she alternates 2 miles run and lifts weights in the gym.
To make the efforts more effective, she sees to it that she also maintains a balance diet. She includes a cup of oatmeal with some sliced fruit and several scrambled egg whites for her source of fiber and protein. After she gave birth to her daughter in 2004, she ate seasoned omelet during breakfast; salad and chicken for lunch; and curried chicken for dinner.
