English-Canadian actress Kim Cattrall, originally Kim Victoria Cattrall, was born on August 21, 1956 in Mossley Hill, Liverpool, England. A woman who has a biggest desire in acting, she took several acting examinations with the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art (LAMDA) to take a step on pursuing it. After graduating in high school, she left Canada just to fly to New York City and study at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts. After graduating, she immediately got a five-year acting contract with Otto Preminger, an Austrian American theatre and film director. In 1975, she finally made her debut and portrayed the role Joyce Donnovan in the film Rosebud. She got another series of roles after her first screen appearance, which made her become one of the most successful actresses in the industry. She also earned different awards such as Genie Award Best Performance by an Actress in a Leading Role and Golden Globe Awards Best Performance by an Actress in a Supporting Role in a Series, Mini-Series or Motion Picture Made for Television.

At 57, the A-lister actress still appears youthful, slender, and healthy. Ever wonder what’s her secret behind? According to Kim, she usually spends time in the gym working out. “I’m always aware – from gaining and losing weight for parts – that the time in the gym trying to lose extra weight is really hard work! I always have that in my mind,” she says. She also adds, “I do easy exercises to lose weight, as much as I can. If I don’t exercise, I feel sluggish. I try to do 30 minutes a day. If I can’t get to a gym, I walk. I find it a release.”

When it comes to diet, she is known to be really practicing a healthy diet ever since she was younger. “I like to eat,” she explains. “And my body type is not naturally this thin, especially at this age. So I do watch what I eat and drink but I’m not obsessive – it’s just a way of life.”
