Jonathan Horton - celebhealthy_comAmerican gymnast Jonathan Alan Horton was born on December 31, 1985 in Houston, Texas, United States. Known as the 2008 Olympic silver medalist on high bar, he also dominated the 2010 Worlds by winning all-around bronze medal. Other than that, he is also a two-time U.S. National All-Around Champion. It was in the year 2002 when he debuted as a Senior, competing at the U.S. National Championships in Cleveland. Since then, he was constantly seen joining various competitions.

Jonathan shared how he keeps his body fit when he was interviewed by Ask Men. Here’s what he revealed: “My first workout starts at 9:00 a.m. every morning. I’m in the gym from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. We do strength conditioning, stretching, pretty intense workouts in the morning. We go back in the gym at 1:00 p.m. and train until 5:00 p.m. It’s all routines, repetition, doing the same skills over and over again, trying to polish and perfect everything. I head home, eat dinner, spend some time with my wife and start over the next day. I train about six days per week.”

As for his diet, he shared, “I changed my diet drastically about three years ago. In college, I was a typical college guy who ate junk food all the time. When you’re in college, your metabolism is through the roof. I felt like my body started to change when I was 22 or 23, so I started meeting with a nutritionist and it completely changed everything. In the mornings, instead of a bowl of cereal, I eat egg whites, wheat toast, a banana. I usually get a chicken sandwich from Subway for lunch. For dinner, my wife and I will usually cook chicken or lean red meat with vegetables. I eat very clean foods, healthy foods and drink a lot of water.”
