Joanna Lamond Lumley is an English actress, voice actress, writer, and former model. She was born on May 1, 1946 in Srinagar, India. She is the daughter of Major James Rutherford-Lumley and Thya Rose Weir. Prior to becoming popular, she spent three years working as a photographic model for photographer Brian Duffy. It was in 1969 when she first appeared on screen, playing an uncredited role on the film Some Girls Do and playing the role Elsie Engelfield in an episode of The Wednesday Play.
From 1973 to 1975, she starred on the TV series Are You Being Served?. Eventually, she became a noticeable face, portraying various role on various TV series such as The New Avengers, The New Avengers, The Kenny Everett Television Show, Absolutely Fabulous, Class Act, Agatha Christie’s Marple, Sensitive Skin, Jam & Jerusalem, and a lot more.
At 68, Joanna is apparently looking so healthy and younger. And her secret? It’s her vegetarian living. “I’m a vegetarian and I long for people to eat less meat,” she said in an interview. “I am fit as a flea and I haven’t eaten meat for 40 years, and I never get diseases, I’m never ill, and I’m full of energy. So how’s about that?”
Well, she’s obviously one of the celebrity vegans who are now enjoying the healthy benefits of this kind of diet.
