Janina Gavankar, originally named Janina Zione Gavankar, is an American actress and musician with Indian and Dutch ancestry. She was born on November 29, 1980 in Joliet, Illinois, USA. Trained as a pianist, vocalist, and orchestral percussionist, she started doing acting in 2001 when she played the role Mina in Why Is God. The following year later, she appeared on big screen when she became one of the casts of the comedy film Barbershop. One of her most dominating roles up to date was in the American TV drama series True Blood where she played the role Luna Garza. Meanwhile her other films include Satellite of Love, Husbands, and Men, Interrupted.
Janina is obviously one of the rising stars of today’s generation that appears to be really fascinating. And it has to do with her physical image, of course. Aparently, she’s striking and she possesses a body that could launch a thousand ships. What’s the secret to her fit and fab figure? She says she just goes to the gym and grind herself without mercy, even if the activity is quite enduring. What motivates her, by the way? “Any day I’m not working I’m getting my ass kicked by my trainer, Ryan Naumann,” she confesses. “He just knows how to make me melt. I’ve never been somebody who’s been athletic or ever wanted to be so it takes a lot to make me do it. He’s somehow managed to crack the code and get it right.”
When asked about her diet secret, she says she’s not into a strict and demanding diet. “I’m not going pretend that I don’t but I made the decision — I’m not going to be skinny, I’m going to be strong. That’s my thing. I’m not going to diet like a crazy person. I eat healthy, of course, but I’m never going to make dieting a priority,” she expresses.
