Born on March 24, 1985 in Hiroshima, Japan, Haruka Ayase is a well-known Japanese actress, singer, model, and gravure idol. She started to become prominent in show business in the year 2004 when she was cast in dorama Sekai no Chuushin de, Ai wo Sakebu. As of how she started her career, she first participated in the 25th Horipro Talent Scout Caravan and auditioned for the said program in the year 2000. In 2001, she landed her first acting appearance and was starred in Kindaichi Shonen no Jikembo II SP as Tomoko Ninomiya. It followed by her appearance in Cosmo Angel where she played as Haruka herself. She then experienced her first big break when she was highlighted in the TV series “Crying Out Love, In the Center of the World”. Recently, she appeared in Yae no Sakura and Riaru: Kanzen Naru Kubinagaryū no Hi.
Haruka admitted that she is very interested to workout and exercise a lot. But she thinks it doesn’t benefit her. “I should excise a bit more,” Haruka said during her interview with Wattention. “But too much excise makes my body– especially my legs– too muscular, which I don’t like. I love sports; I used to play basketball and run a lot, but I have to be careful.”
When it comes to diet, she said, “I just remind myself to eat a lot of fruits and Japanese pickles. I’m very into Japanese pickles nowadays! Pickles are healthy and tasty – I even want to make some myself. I’ve already got a nukazuke (a type of Japanese pickle) kit.”
