Grace Elizabeth Gold, famously known as Gracie Gold, is an American figure skater born on August 17, 1995 in Newton, Massachusetts, USA. She started to do her favorite sport when she was seven years old. It was when she turned 13 when she was finally trained by a professional trainer. Later on she worked with Alexa Griffin, then eventually joined with Susan Liss, and finally went to Toni Hickey. In 2010 U.S. championships, she garnered the 4th rank on the novice level. In the year 2012, she made it to the 7th place in the senior Grand Pix debut at the 2012 Skate Canada. It was in the year 2013 when she won silver at the U.S. Nationals.
To stay healthy, lean, and strong, Gracie regularly hits the gym and performs exercises that focus on her core. These exercises involve resistance band. As a figure skater, she also incorporates exercises that promote balance. In addition to gym exercises, she also swims and performs floor exercises as well as gymnastics.
When she was asked if she consumes a special meal before the competition, she said, “The night before a competition you definitely want a lot of carbs and a little bit of fat because you want to have great energy the next day. The day of competition I eat a lot of fruits and vegetables, and maybe have a little bit of sugar or honey in my coffee or tea so I can have those quick energy bursts throughout the day.”
