Francine Joy Drescher, an American film and TV actress, was born in in Kew Gardens Hills, Queens, New York on September 30, 1957 to parents Sylvia and Morty Drescher. She attended at Hillcrest High School in Jamaica, Queens, the same school where she met her future husband named Peter Marc Jacobson. Deciding to become an actress, she started to appear on screen in the year 1977, portraying the role Connie in Saturday Night Fever. In 1978, she had appearances in films American Hot Wax and Stranger in Our House as well as in the TV series Fame. She also became more prominent when she was cast in Who’s the Boss? for two episodes from 1985 to 1986. In 1993, she played the role Fran Fine in the sophisticated TV sitcom where she earned a number of nominations. Her recent appearances were in TV series Happily Divorced and film Skum Rocks!.
A cancer survivor, Fran lives in a healthy lifestyle. In fact, she’s physically active and she loves to spend her time outside to perform her exercises. According to her, “I love the outdoors. I love hiking and walking on the beach near my home. And I do Pilates because it helps with muscle tone and muscle burns fat, and that keeps you healthy, too.”
Not only that. She knows how to pick foods that are healthy and worthy to eat. “I try to eat vegan and organic as much as possible. As a cancer survivor, I’m all about living preventively and toxin-free. That’s why I tell everyone that “detox your home” should be their new mantra. And it all starts with eating well. It keeps your body in balance, reduces inflammation, and you just feel better and have more energy,” she said.
