Born in Los Angeles, California on October 11, 1976, beautiful actress and producer Emily Deschanel is the daughter of award-winning director Caleb Deschanel and actress Mary Jo Deschanel. She is also known as the older sister of the actress Zooey Deschanel. An alumna of Boston University, she holds a degree Bachelor of Fine Arts in Theater. She was first seen on big screen when she starred her debut role in a romantic comedy-drama film It Could Happen to You wherein she was able to work with the celebrated actors Nicolas Cage and Bridget Fonda. In 2000, she had another significant role in It’s a Shame About Ray followed by her role in The Heart Department the next year. Her breakthrough came around 2005 when she was hired to portray the role Dr. Temperance “Bones” Brennan in the crime comedy-drama television series Bones which is an ongoing program until now. Apart from being a renowned actress, she is also well-recognized as a vegan for 16 years and an animal rights activist.

I can’t eat too much before a show, or you go on stage feeling terrible,” Emily shared.
When asked about her usual fitness routine, she said, “I really mix it up. I hike, run, bike. I do an hour a day, and then have a day off a week. And I took six years of tap dancing, and I love it! It’s a good cardio workout.”
