Elisabeth Judson Shue is an American actress born on October 6, 1963 in Wilmington, Delaware, USA. She is the daughter of Anne Brewster and James W. Shue. While studying at Columbia High School in Maplewood, New Jersey, she worked as a model in TV commercials for Hellmann’s mayonnaise, Burger King, and DeBeers diamonds. It was in the year 1982 when she starred as Lynn Osbourne in the TV film The Royal Romance of Charles and Diana. The said film was her first ever small screen appearance. The next year, she appeared on big screen for the first time and played the role Margie on the film Somewhere, Tomorrow. Later on, she became quite prominent and played roles in different films and TV series. Some of them were in The Karate Kid, The Marrying Man, Leaving Las Vegas, Call to Glory, and Curb Your Enthusiasm. Just recently, she appeared on the American crime drama TV series CSI: Crime Scene Investigation and portrayed the role Julie Finlay.
Elisabeth has been through weight issues but she was able to overcome it by regularly exercising. “I deal with it by exercising,” she shared in one of her interviews. “That way, I don’t have to watch what I eat as much and feel healthy and strong. I don’t need to look like a model or even what I perceive a person in the movies “should ” look like. I can finally just be me and accept my body as it is.”
And yes, she doesn’t diet. She just always makes sure that her body is active by doing exercises. Simple as that.
