Edith Falco, famously known as Edie Falco, was born on July 5, 1963 in Brooklyn, New York to parents Judith Anderson and Frank Falco. She is an American actress famous for her appearances in television, stage plays, and films. She is known to have a mixture of Swedish, English, and Italian descent. She was first seen on big screen in the year 1987 when she was included in the list of casts for the motion picture Sweet Lorraine. Two years after, she got appearances in films The Unbelievable Truth starring Adrienne Shelly and Robert Burke and Sidewalk Stories with Charles Lane and Tom Alpern. A lot of roles for films and TV series approached her later on, including her appearances in TV series Homicide: Life on the Street, Law & Order, New York Undercover, Oz, The Sopranos, and 30 Rock. Presently, she is starred in the medical drama series Nurse Jackie and plays the main role Jackie Peyton.
Edie is a health conscious person. She exercises in a regular basis and always finds time to run. According to her, “Exercise always clears my head. You feel better all day because of the endorphins running through your system. I do it more for my brain than anything else.”
