Dotsie Bausch is an American cyclist. She was born on March 6, 1973 in Irvine, Kentucky, United States. A product of Villanova University, she was 26 years old when she started cycling. During the Summer Olympics in the year 2012, she competed in the women’s pursuit cycling team for the United States. These days, she continues to be remarkable in her chosen field.
Dotsie is known to be a vegan. Here’s what she said in one of her interview: “I am an animal activist and very concerned about how our animals are being treated prior to slaughter for food, the antibiotics and hormones that are shoved into their systems, and what people are eating when they eat this meat.”
She believes that one of the main causes of having health problems these days is the food that we eat– especially poor quality meat, which is the result of poor treatment of the animals. She hopes to be able to launch a nonprofit called AHED (Athletes Healing Eating Disorders) someday. Now, any diet tip from her? Here’s her advice: “Always keep glycogens going in when you are exercising!”
