Born on the 22nd of February 1982 in Kathmandu, Nepal, Dichen Lachman is a renowned Australian actress and producer. Her first TV appearance happened in 2005 when she was cast for the role Katya Kinski in the Australian TV soap opera Neighbours. Right after finishing her role in Neighbours, she immediately moved to Los Angeles to start filming the American science fiction Dollhouse by which she was able to work with the remarkable stars Eliza Dushku, Harry Lennix, and Fran Kranz. In 2010, she was starred in the TV series NCIS: Los Angeles followed by the police procedural drama series Hawaii Five-0. She was also able to land a significant role in the movie directed by Christopher Hutson called Bled. Presently, she is starred in the American TV series Shameless.
The 32 year-old actress admits that she always finds it hard to commit working out in the gym. That’s why she came up with a good strategy. “I find with the gym it’s very hard to motivate. Having someone to work out with, you end up motivating each other, and it’s a great substitute for gym equipment!” she shared.
Apart from that, she always makes sure that her body is actively moving most of the time. “There are some simple things I do that just keep me moving: walking up stairs instead of taking the lift, parking further away than usual from your destination, cleaning my own apartment, putting some elbow grease in can break a sweat!” she said.
