Diane von Furstenberg, formerly Princess Diane of Fürstenberg is a Belgian-born American fashion designer best known for her iconic wrap dress. She was born on December 31, 1946 in Brussels, Belgium to parents Liliane Nahmias and Leon Halfin. She rose to fame when she became the wife of the German princely House of Fürstenberg. After their divorce in the year 1972, she continued using his family name even though she is no longer entitled to use the title princess following her divorce and subsequent remarriage in the year 2001.
Diane is known to be an avid fan of exercises. She said in an interview, “I began to be involved with exercise. It was a little bit like sex sometimes— you know how sometimes you’re kind of disinterested, kind of uninvolved, and slowly you begin to become interested?”
Now here’s her tip when it comes to dieting and losing weight. “If you’re trying to lose weight, you just have to eat less,” she advised. “I mean that. Don’t talk about your diet. It’s just boring, and the last thing you need when dieting is to be considered boring.”
She added, “If you’re a little hippy and full-bosomed, don’t try to remake yourself in the image of a skinny fashion model. It won’t work. You can trim down your hips. You should always concentrate on special movements to keep your breasts firm and lifted and young. Hippy and bosomy can be very nice, very desirable. Accept it.”
