American professional basketball player Derrick Martell Rose was born on October 4, 1988. The son of Brenda Rose and Allan, he is famous for currently playing for the Chicago Bulls basketball team in the NBA. He attended high school at Simeon Career Academy in 2003 and immediately became a sought-after player in the eyes coaches. By the time he reached college, he received a scholarship to play for the University of Memphis Tigers. In 2008, he was selected by the Chicago Bulls when he was drafted as first overall draft in the NBA. All throughout his NBA career, he became a sensational basketballer as he even earned the NBA Most Valuable Player in 2011.
