Delta Lea Goodrem is an Australian singer-songwriter, instrumentalist, television actress, and music judge. She was born on November 9, 1984 in Sydney, Australia to parents Lea Goodrem and Denis Goodrem. Throughout her career, she made a name for herself for earning lots of awards and recognitions especially in the year 2003 when she won the Best Female Artist which made her become prominent.
Delta was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma few years ago and since then, she started to make healthy changes in her life. “Being diagnosed with Hodgkin’s lymphoma had a huge impact on my life and on my loved ones,” she said in an interview. “It was a deeply private yet public battle. It forever changed me and, having survived, I feel it is my responsibility to live my life to the full and to give others hope. It also gave me a new power to keep balance in my life and body.”
She stated, “I don’t smoke at all, nor do I drink regularly or in any large quantity. If my diet isn’t great for a few days, then I am quick to re-establish good foods, plenty of water and exercise. I also have regular health check-ups.” Delta so far is doing good with her treatment as thankfully, she keeps getting better these days.
