Dayana Sabrina Mendoza Moncada, famously known as Dayana Mendoza, is a Venezuelan model and beauty queen born on June 1, 1986 in Caracas, Venezuela. She is famous for being the title holder of Miss Venezuela 2007 and Miss Universe 2008. She joined the Miss Venezuela pageant on September 13, 2007 and was able to beat 27 candidates. On July 13, 2008, she represented her country in the Miss Universe 2008 which was held at Crown Convention Center, Nha Trang, Vietnam. After bagging the crown, she traveled to different countries like Puerto Rico, Singapore, France, Vatican City, Nicaragua, Ukraine, United Arab Emirates, Russia, and many other countries to fulfill her duties on lecturing humanitarian issues as well as promoting awareness in HIV/AIDS. In 2012, she made an appearance in Celebrity Apprentice, particularly appearing on the 3rd episode “How Much is That Celebrity in the Window?”.
To keep her body in tip-top shape, she mostly spends time strolling. She said during her interview with Self, “I love walking around NYC and I try to do it as much as I can. I recommend walking for one hour a day but I don’t always have the time, so I try to spread the time out during the day by walking to the second buss stop or subway station instead of the closest one. I walk to lunch, walk to dinner, walk to the coffee shop, walk to the gym, I walk everywhere as much as I can. I’m not going to lie; I’m not good at it during wintertime so I try to hit the gym more often.”
And her diet advice to all of us? Do not skip breakfast. “Breakfast is the most important meal of the day and I think it’s important to eat a big, healthy meal to fuel your body with the right food so that you have energy and can make smart choices when eating lunch, dinner and snacks throughout the day,” she explained.
