Lido TheatreDavid Wenham is an Australian actor who has appeared in movies, television series and theatre productions. He was born on September 21, 1965 in Marrickville, Sydney, Australia. He is famous in Hollywood because of his roles as Faramir in The Lord of the Rings film trilogy, Carl in Van Helsing, Dilios in 300 and its sequel 300: Rise of an Empire, and Neil Fletcher in Australia. He is also famous in his native country Australia for his role as Diver Dan in SeaChange.

When David was working for the film “300”, he spent lots of time doing grueling workouts so as to achieve a better, more chiseled body. Each day, he spent two hours at the gym, doing hard-core physical and mental exercises.

“It’s probably the hardest thing I have ever done in my life … we trained with such intensity that you thought the body was actually going to give up,” he shared in an interview. He added that the said workout somehow paid him because he lost extra pounds. “I’ve lost it all now, but we used medicine balls, rings suspended from the ceiling, chains, tyres and ropes … it was boot camp 10-fold. I have to say at the time I thought, ‘this is just madness’,” he explained.
