Born January 18, 1969 in Washington D.C., David Michael Bautista, Jr. A.K.A Dave Batista, is globally known as an American professional wrestler, actor, mixed martial artist, and bodybuilder. He is known to be of Greek and Filipino ancestry. Prior to fame, he used to work at night clubs as a bouncer and also experienced working as a lifeguard. Deciding to pursue wrestling, he joined the WCW Power Plant (a professional wrestling school) and later on went to World Wrestling Federation. Soon after, he had series of trainings at Afa Anoa’i’s school in the Wild Samoan Training Centre. In 2000, he had his wrestling debut at Ohio Valley Wrestling with a ring name “Leviathan”. He finally started his WWE career in the year 2002 and came up with his ring name “Batista”. In 2005, he won the Royal Rumble match and made it to the WrestleMania 21 headlines. Series of successful events followed him and he eventually collected 4 World Heavyweight Championships and 2 WWE Championships.
Batista is one with an extremely rimmed physique and incredible muscle mass. He credits these attributes to his grueling workouts. His training is usually divided into three days where he performs Calf Raises, Seated Leg Curls, Leg Extensions, Hack Squats, Leg Presses, Front Pull-downs, Seated Cable Rows, Lateral Raises, and other workout moves. Other than that, he also performs cardio exercises.
When it comes to his diet, he doesn’t much care about it because of his tremendous workout. Although, he practices a low fat, high protein diet and admits that he avoids bread.
