Dana Welles Delany, simply known as Dana Delany, is an American actress, producer, presenter, and health activist. She was born on March 13, 1956 in New York City to Irish parents. She grew up in Stamford, Connecticut and was used to be a student of Phillips Academy in Massachusetts. Right after graduating in college, she was hired to work in a daytime soap opera in New York City. With a background of acting during her college days, she was able to enjoy her work. Some of her notable films were The Fan, Moon over Parador, Donato and Daughter, and A Beautiful Life. One of her significant appearances happened in 2006 when she collaborated with movie director Bob Saget for the movie For Hope which was dedicated to her sister who died due to a disease. In 2011, she was widely recognized because of her role as Dr. Megan Hunt in the American medical drama TV series Body of Proof. She also earned various awards such as Screen Actors Guild, Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy Series and Los Angeles Drama Critics Circle Award Outstanding Lead Performance.
As a health advocate, Dana very well knows how to take care of her body. She constantly works out and performs different exercises so as to release any negative energies out from her body. “I exercise every day because it makes me feel good,” said Dana. “I’ll go to yoga class or if I’m shooting early, I’ll just do the yoga by myself in my room before I go to work, or I’ll go on the treadmill and walk with free weights.”
She is also consuming foods that are gluten-free. “I am gluten-intolerant,” she shared. “So I have everything gluten-free now. It really makes a difference. I don’t get that bloating.”
