American professional golfer Cristie Kerr was born on October 12, 1977 in Miami, Florida. She started playing golf when she was eight years old. During her amateur stage, she won the 1994 Junior Orange Bowl International Golf Championship as well as the 1995 Women’s Western Amateur. In 1995, she also became the American Junior Golf Association Junior Player of the Year. When she turned 18, she became a professional golfer and eventually participated the Futures Tour and Players West Tour in 1996. In 2010, she was able to get the win for two of the first 10 tournaments on the LPGA Tour. Apart from being a golfer, she, too, is a health activist, specifically involved in breast cancer research fundraising.
Cristie stays active by doing what she loves most which is golfing. This kind of sport is a very good form of cardio exercise.
Apart from keeping an active lifestyle, she also maintains a healthy diet. She said during her interview with ESPN that she has learned to avoid eating at fast foods. “If I eat something fast, it’s a turkey sandwich or a smoothie. You have to look for a healthy option,” she said.
