Courtney Force is a drag racer that is currently joining the NHRA. She was born on June 20, 1988. A graduate of Cal State Fullerton, she majored Communications. It was in 2005 when she was able to have her NHRA competition drivers license. She then earned her Alcohol-Fuel license in the year 2008. Throughout her career and involvement in Top Alcohol Dragster, Brandsource was the one who sponsored her. On January 10, 2012, Traxxas became her sponsor for the rookie TF/FC season. Meanwhile when she debuted at the 52nd annual O’Reilly Auto Parts NHRA Winternationals, she eventually qualified 12th with the 4.199 ET at 307.44 mph. Presently, she is driving the Traxxas Ford Mustang Funny Car for John Force Racing.
When Courtney was asked by Women Fitness about her typical workout routine, she said, “I do a lot of strength training in the gym and cardio. It’s important to build your upper body strength when handling one of these 10,000 horsepower race cars. In these cars anything can happen when you’re reaching speeds over 300mph so you need to be mentally and physically prepared for anything. After working with a trainer I’ve learned so many great moves and workouts that I have added to my routine and taken on the road with me.”
Regarding her diet, she shared, “I eat small meals throughout the day to keep my energy level up. I am always relying on protein and do my best to cut out the carbs especially over a race weekend. When I need a snack I always grab fruit or almonds to hold me over.”
