Colin James Farrell is an Irish film actor born on May 31, 1976 in Dublin, Ireland to parents Rita and Eamon Farrell. Growing up, he used to love playing football and fighting. He became interested in acting after watching the American science fiction film E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial which made him emotional. He started to appear on screen in 1995 when he was cast for an uncredited role in the film Frankie Starlight followed by another uncredited role in The Disappearance of Finbar. In the year 2000, he became quite an attention when he portrayed the role Pvt. Roland Bozz in the movie Tigerland, which earned him a Boston Society of Film Critics Award for Best Actor and London Film Critics Circle Award for Newcomer of the Year. After the prestigious recognitions, he was able to land different roles in films, including American Outlaws, Phone Booth, Alexander, Miami Vice, and Saving Mr. Banks. Presently he’s filming two flicks that will come out soon which are Solace and The Lobster.
When it comes to keeping his body fit and perfectly toned, Colin constantly stays physically active. He usually runs every morning and does strength training everyday. When he was asked whether he constantly goes to the gym, he said he only visits the gym when his role requires him to.
As for his eating habits, he said he’s not practicing any kind of diet. As long as he knows he’s eating foods that won’t harm him, then he thinks he’s doing fine.
