British media personality Carol Vorderman was born on December 24, 1960 in Bedford, Bedfordshire, England to parents Anton Vorderman and Edwina Jean. She is famously known for her 26 years hosting appearances in the game show Countdown which was highlighted in television from 1982 to 2008. Prior to fame, she started as a worker at Dinorwig Power Station in Wales and later on transferred to Leeds and worked as a graduate management trainee.
She was also known to be a backup singer along Lindsay Forrest and Liz Kershaw in the pop group Dawn Chorus and the Blue Tits. In 2011, she co-anchored the British lunchtime TV program Loose Women whenever TV anchors Kaye Adams, Andrea McLean, and Ruth Langsford are not available. Last year, she was able to present the culinary programme Food Glorious Food.
Although Carol is not much of fan of exercises, she always keeps an eye on her diet. She is known to be practicing and promoting a diet called Detox Diet. She said it works fairly well for her as she noticed some changes and improvements on her weight. “I had seen it work for friends,” she testified in one of her interviews. “I tried it and the weight stayed off permanently. I don’t count calories, I don’t weigh myself and I don’t go to the gym.”
