Candice Swanepoel is a well-known South African model born on the 20th of October, 1988 in Mooi River, KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa. She was 15 years old and studying in an all-girls school called St. Anne’s College when she was spotted and discovered by Kevin Ellise, a fashion model agent. Because the agent was smitten with her allure and natural grace, he persuaded her to pursue modeling. At 16, she was already hitting the runway for fashion shows. In 2007, she became the first South African model to grace in the Victoria’s Secret catwalk. Since then, she was highlighted in the company’s shows. She also became the covergirl for Vogue, ELLE, Cosmopolitan, and Marie Claire. And apart from working with Victoria’s Secret, she also collaborated with other fashion companies such as Ralph Lauren, Tommy Hilfiger, Dolce and Gabbana, Nike, Guess?, Diesel, and many others.
As a model, Candice knows exactly how to tone up her body and maintain its slenderness. She said that she usually does boxing and yoga apart from staying in the gym and performing different workout routines. “I love waking up. I box. I do a lot of resistance, three or four times a week. I like that, as well as keeping fit, I can protect myself. When I’m too tired to box, I do yoga. It’s good to stay flexible and learn to keep your mind quiet,” she expressed.
The Victoria’s Secret Angel doesn’t follow a strict diet. She says she’s very into food that she can’t dare give them up. “Food-wise, I’m very, very lucky that I can eat whatever I want,” she stressed. “For me, I’ve always had a healthy lifestyle. If I eat something that’s not fresh, I feel it immediately, so I crave good food. I crave meat. I grew up on a dairy and beef farm, so I crave that. I don’t cut anything out, and I just work out more.”
