imagesBritney Spears was born in Kentwood, Louisiana on December 2, 1981. Being the middle child of James Parnell Spears and  Lynne Irene, Britney had developed her love for music and performing at a young age. . “Ever since I was 7 or 8 years old, my mom would have company over, and I was always performing for everybody in front of the TV.” She shares.

The young Britney auditioned for a role on the show The New Mickey Mouse Club which was aired on Disney Channel but didn’t get in on her first attempt. She decided to audition again when she reached the age of 11 and fortunately, she was picked to be one of the cast along with Justine Timberlake, Christina Aguilera and Keri Russell. Starting off her career as a child star, Spears then released her first ever single “…Baby One More Time.” In December 1998 which hit No. 1 on the Billboard 200 charts that same year and grossed more than 22 million copies globally.

Despite Britney’s controversial issues, she was able to get back on track with her health and body physique by doing cardiovascular exercises. It was even said that she held extended dance rehearsals to keep her calorie balance in control.  Spears also do some light resistance training to help her burn more calories and slim down faster.

In one of her interviews, Britney shares:  “I eat chicken and salmon and rice. I eat avocados. I’ll have egg whites for breakfast and sometimes turkey burgers for launch. I try to do just 1,200 calories a day…. It may sound like it’s not much, but it’s actually a lot of food if you eat the right things.”
