She is the daughter of Tina Ann and Joe Truett Simpson and is the younger sister of the famous singer and actress Jessica Simpson. Prior to her stardom, she used to be one of the backup dancers of her sister Jessica. Her fame started in 2002 when she recorded a song called Christmas Past, Present, and Future for the album School’s Out! Christmas. In 2003, she published another song known as Just Let Me Cry made exactly for the comedy film Freaky Friday. Her breakthrough happened when was highlighted in Jessica’s reality TV show called “Newlyweds: Nick and Jessica”.

Ashlee is known to have a slender figure. And according to the talented star, being skinny is not enough and she has to work hard to come up with a fit, strong, and toned body. “I love it when my arms are toned, so we use weights to target them and we do lunges to give my small butt more shape,” she told the Shape. She also added that she constantly jogs, swims, and do squats.

When asked about her diet, Ashlee said she consumes healthy foods most of the time because she was greatly influenced by Jessica to indulge more on them. Specifically, she’s on a high pritein, low carbohydrate diet.
